​​I am an animal lover, space, dinosaur & all-around science enthusiast, proud Hufflepuff and Universal Studios Annual Passholder. Born and raised in Florida, I spent the year after high school traveling the lower 48 states and Vancouver Canada. Then moved to the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota for a few years before coming back to Florida in 2005. ​

After officiating a friends ceremony in 2013 I was bit by the wedding bug, starting "Ceremonies by Catherine" soon after. Jumping head first into the wedding industry as an Officiant in March of 2015 and I've been on a roll ever since. As of June 2024 I have officiated more than 1,500 wedding ceremonies (including an elopement on a glacier in Alaska, vow renewal on the canals of Jordaan, Amsterdam, The Netherlands, on top of a mountain in Tennessee, and many ceremonies in Custer State Park, South Dakota). And in April 2020 I was excited to announce my new business name: ​"The Ginger Officiant".

​When I am not working my magic at weddings I enjoy traveling to new places, Bob Ross paint classes, burlesque dancing, kayaking, riding my pink bicycle with hamburger shaped bell, relaxing at home with my two cats, Albert Noodles of Selkirk and Sir Winston Pickles (RIP Snooki), while watching The Office or listening to my favorite music which is usually Insane Clown Posse, the Smashing Pumpkins, or a genre called Nerdcore - look up MC Lars, Schaffer the Darklord, Captain Dan & The Scurvy Crew, Mega Ran, MC Frontalot or mc chris and give them a listen - you'll thank me later.

One weekend a year I attend a cosplay convention called Megacon where attendees dress in costume as some of their favorite characters from pop culture, comics, video games, tv shows, movies, etc. My past costumes have been Nyan Cat, Grumpy Cat, She-Ra Princess of Power, Princess Peach, Wendy from Wendy's Hamburger Restaurant, and in 2026 I will be adding a new costume: OG Rainbow Brite​.
